Finance and Tax Manager

The role involves managing local financial accounts in line with Sonova policies and local laws, ensuring timely reporting and compliance. Responsibilities include overseeing tax compliance, operating expenses, and cash management, as well as coordinating audits and supporting budgeting processes. Additionally, the position provides financial analysis for decision-making and implements internal controls to ensure governance and compliance.

 

Your tasks:
- Accounting & Reporting: Manage local financial accounts per Sonova policies and local laws; deliver timely financial reports; conduct monthly reconciliations; collaborate with Corporate Controlling on accounting issues.
- Tax: Understand local tax laws; ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance; collaborate with corporate tax on business changes; review profitability and compliance with transfer pricing
- Opex & Expense Control: Oversee local operating expenses; support vendor selection; manage working capital; control capital expenditures; ensure efficient financial systems
- Treasury: Manage bank relationships; maintain documentation for banking; prevent fraud; oversee local cash management for liquidity
- Audit Interaction: Coordinate year-end audits; facilitate internal audits; address audit issues promptly; report on audit remediation progress
- Planning & Budgeting: Manage local planning and budgeting processes; ensure transparency in performance reporting; monitor financial performance against budgets
- Analysis & Decision Support: Provide financial analysis for decision-making; maintain cost center structure; ensure accurate KPI calculations
- Governance & Compliance: Implement and review internal controls; address control deficiencies; support compliance training and monitoring

 

Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Business or Accounting
- 3+ years of previous experience gained in similar organisation model – SCC, GBS etc.
- Readyness for further development in Finance area (ACCA / CIMA certificate)
- Good understanding of SSC best practices
- Functional knowledge across key finance disciplines, including Business Controlling, Accounting (IFRS and statutory), Tax, Treasury, Systems and Processes
- Business agility, in depth knowledge of the corporate compliance policies/rules and acting as a role model in their application
- Strong understanding of management processes
- Proactive communication and escalation within the local management team and the finance organization
- Integrity, pro-activeness, strong communication skills, accountability, commitment, independence
- Very good English and Polish (speaking & writing)
