Master Data Governance Process Engineer

 

More about the role:

 

The main objective of this role is to serve as a global key user, driving continuous improvements in global master data management. This includes developing and implementing master data workflows and data quality tasks and in-house enhancements to the TIBCO EBX tool. Secondary Purpose: support daily business activities by addressing and resolving material master issues as well as executing data governance and data quality tasks.

 

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

 

Process Engineering:

  • Establish and maintain best practices for master data governance to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain specific metrics for the MDM team to ensure the accuracy and quality of various master data elements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify business requirements, processes and risks, evaluating relevant processes and recommending solutions for improvement.
    Assess data compliance with high-quality standards to ensure integrity and reliability.
  • Share knowledge of best practice application processes (TIBCO EBX, Informatica Data Quality and Process Runner) within the MDM team and the global key user group.
  • Drive ongoing data optimization for MDM tasks and processes.
  • Provide training to end-users as needed, ensuring completion and understanding.
  • Ensure that MDM master data processes comply with CSV and MDR standards, including segregation of duties where applicable.
  • Verify that all CSV processes are thoroughly tested, validated and released.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs) and other relevant documentation 

 

Operational:

  • Ensure adherence to master data governance principles and supervise the quality of master data.
  • Manage MDM troubleshooting with ServiceNow and inbox handling.
  • Serve as a deputy for various MDM team members in their absence.
     

 

Your profile

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Level Diploma or equivalent working experience
  • Five years or more of professional experience in Master Data Management, Master Data Governance and Data Quality
  • Experienced in any MDG tool (ideally TIBCO EBX or SAP MDG, Informatica); Java and GitHub knowledge is a plus
  • Technical understanding and experience in application and administrative processes and tasks
  • Independent, pragmatic, and systematic with strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English; German knowledge is a plus
  • Solid understanding of SAP MM module is highly desirable
