Procurement Analyst

Sonova is seeking an Analyst who brings a fresh and modern outlook to join the organisation to partner with Corporate Procurement - Direct Material Function to achieve a step change in reporting and providing insight into supplier performance, by providing a specific reports, using tools at their disposal. They will aligned to the overall strategic needs for Direct Materials.  They will be the procurement business partner for required interactions with the internal team and Finance. deliver exceptional results by developing influential and positive analytics across Direct material spend.   The person appointed will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge in using Excel, SAP and BI reporting tools. A knowledge of external Spend cube tools is also desirable.   Sonova is a fast-paced change organisation and it is key that the person joining the team should be adept to operating within such an environment.  A knowledge of the wider business challenges and opportunities will be necessary in understanding and instigating how the procurement function can help the business deliver its goals.  

 

 

Your tasks:

 

  • Be our subject matter expert in data analysis; engineering 1st class outcomes from data
  • Be consistent in the mathematical accuracy of your analysis whilst working to deadlines
  • Be comfortable learning new systems and platforms and analyzing data from various sources
  • Create messages from varied data sources that have clarity and purpose
  • Create dashboards that professionally articulate raw data
  • Implement spend and pricing management platforms and software
  • Utilise and spread your knowledge of pricing and spend modelling techniques
  • Engage with technical and financial stakeholders to generate data-fed pipelines, spend and pricing analysis that is joined-up and that shows the links and failure points in the operation at the source of the data
  • Create analysis that can clearly articulate historic spend vs budget and link this to future Design to Cost principles
  • Find opportunities for value engineering / value add that are sited in data
  • Assess commercial data and find opportunities for positive P&L impacts
  • Remain current in your knowledge base in the field of data science
  • Deliver on the tasks set by the Director of Direct Materials and function Category Leaders

 


Your profile:

 

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience of commercial data analysis and interpretation in a related industry and/or consultancy
  • Work experience of a range of P2P / spend data platforms (i.e. SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Workday etc.)
  • Excellent English skills
  • Understanding of source to pay platforms (i.e. Ariba, Coupa, Rosslyn, GEP etc.) and experience of deriving meaningful data-led messages from such sources
  • Understanding of stock / inventory management and or demand management platforms (i.e. SAP etc.) and next-gen inventory management / demand management practices (i.e. E2Open etc.)
  • Successful creation of / use of spend related data dashboards (i.e. Tableu, Salesforce etc.)
  • Outstanding worked experiences of MS Excel, PPTX and other programs
  • Work experience of operating within a procurement / supply chain / commercial function
  • Creation of fit for purpose “So What” messages that are interpreted from data
  • Adept at taking raw data from various sources and making sense of both the clear & the hidden messages
  • Pricing analysis experience, utilising benchmarking techniques and sources (i.e. Gartner etc.)
  • Cost & spend modelling expertise in raw-data-backed “Should Cost” models 
  • Able to collaborate internally and to influence people through good use of data
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, self-managed in daily operations
  • Problem Solvers’ mentality – working with teammates to achieve progress in an agile manner
