Procurement Process Support Specialist

Purpose of the job: 

 

The position has been created as part of Procurement Operational Excellence with the aim of ensuring smooth and efficient execution of procurement processes within Sonova. The Specialist will play a key role in maintaining the operational readiness of procurement tools and systems at Sonova and will provide guidance and assistance to Direct and Indirect Procurement teams, as well as to P2P process users across Sonova companies, enabling them to carry out their activities effectively.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

 

  • Supporting Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, including creating, handling and monitoring Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Providing support for users of the P2P process, analyzing user issues and delivering solutions.
  • Supporting the Corporate Procurement department within Procurement Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Contributing to initiatives led by the Procurement Operational Excellence Team by identifying opportunities and implementing enhancements in procurement processes.
  • Monitoring the compliance of purchasing processes with internal procedures and standards.
  • Creating and maintaining new supplier records in the master data system.
  • Handling blocked invoice release activities to ensure process continuity.

 

More about you:

 

Must-Haves:

 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes, from requisition to payment.
  • Experience in analyzing requests and resolving system-related issues.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in an international environment and with diverse stakeholders.

 

Nice-to-Haves:

 

  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement, or similar).
  • Experience working in a Procurement / Purchasing department.
  • Ability to create, manage, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel (for analysis and reporting).
  • Understanding of LEAN processes.
  • Experience in implementation projects (testing, user training).
  • Understanding of compliance and internal control principles in procurement processes.
  • Experience in the medical industry would be an asset.
