Release Manager - Software Applications (m/f/d)

 

The purpose of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate release of our mobile applications and software updates, including the Phonak Fitting Software. You will coordinate the release strategy across multiple platforms and stakeholders, ensuring smooth launches and updates for our hearing care solutions. Working closely with Product Managers, developers, and international teams, you will manage app submissions, online updates, and firmware releases while maintaining compliance with quality standards.

  • Manage the on-time release of mobile applications (iOS & Android), including myPhonak, EasyLine Remote, myPhonak Junior, myRoger Mic, Unitron RemotePlus, Hearing Remote, and Hansaton Stream Remote
  • Coordinate app store submissions, pre-release reviews, and content management to ensure compliance and timely approvals
  • Oversee online updates for Phonak Target fitting software, aligning releases with local market timelines and stakeholder expectations
  • Develop and implement release and distribution strategies in collaboration with Product Managers to ensure successful product launches
  • Conduct system demonstrations to showcase interactions between applications and software components
  • Manage app store analytics, reporting, issue tracking, and resolution, acting as the primary point of contact for Apple and Google
  • Create and manage internal and external user groups for testing and launch activities
  • Deliver training to internal and external users on TestFlight (iOS) and AppCenter (Android)
  • Serve as the central communication hub for group companies regarding launch schedules and updates, ensuring cross-functional coordination
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures while contributing to process improvements for operational efficiency

 

More about you

 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in release management, software project management, or related role
  • Proven experience with mobile app release management on both iOS and Android platforms
  • Experience managing software updates and coordinating releases using tools such as TestFlight, AppCenter, and Firebase
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to manage multiple releases and cross-functional stakeholders simultaneously
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance, data policies, and Declarations of Conformity (DoC) is a plus
  • Experience with analytics, reporting, and issue tracking is advantageous
