Senior Manager Internal Control & Compliance
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager Internal Control & Compliance to shape and execute our global Internal Control System (ICS), overseeing the governance of the global store audit program (SA), and ensuring effective remediation and prevention of internal audit (IA) findings. In this role, you will also support strategic projects, such as the consolidation of legal entities and compliance aspects of ERP systems.
Your tasks
- Lead the global store audit program, providing oversight and guidance to local store audit professionals in a dotted-line structure
- Develop and enhance the global store audit program, incorporating findings, compliance challenges, and business developments to drive continuous improvement
- Monitor and follow up on store audit findings, escalating issues of non-compliance to senior leadership and ensuring remediation and preventive measures are implemented
- Support design and implementation of a comprehensive Internal Control System (ICS) template, ensuring consistent global compliance while accommodating localized needs for smaller markets
- Oversee the execution and reporting of ICS controls, escalating non-compliance issues and driving process improvements through advanced tools and risk assessment
- Coordinate and ensure timely remediation of internal audit (IA) findings, preparing teams for audits, and addressing repeat patterns or risks across markets
- Align with internal audit and global ICS teams to enhance controls, track performance, and report findings to senior leadership and audit committees
- Support strategic projects, including legal entity consolidation, ERP setup (roles and segregation of duties), and Delegations of Authority (DOA) implementation
Your profile
- University degree in Finance, Controlling, or Business Administration
- 10+ years of experience in financial controlling, with a strong foundation in business acumen and strategic thinking
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and reliable, with the ability to work independently under pressure
- Flexible and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Fluency in English, written and spoken; any additional languages are an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office
