Software Engineer - Tools and Infrastructure (Python)
This is your opportunity to work in a scaled agile environment within international teams developing high-tech solutions for the medical hearing health care sector.
You will be responsible for the development of tools for building, testing, and releasing firmware for our products. For your work, you will apply the latest technologies such as Python, Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Conan.
You will also actively contribute to the architectural evolution of our platforms to ensure their sustainability.
Your responsibilities
- Accelerate the development of embedded software by continuously improving development environment
- Develop, verify, deploy and maintain tools, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure that is used to develop, integrate and test low-level software for hearing instruments
- Provide operational stability and robustness of the development environment to Sonova embedded software engineers in multiple teams and locations worldwide
More About You
Essential qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of Python programming language, at least 5 years of experience
- Hands-on experience with an industrial software development
- Result-oriented team player with a pragmatic approach and good communication skills
- Passionate about software development and technologies
- Fluent in English
Good to have qualifications:
- University degree in software engineering or related
- Willing to deploy and maintain software that you develop
- Fluent in English
- Good to have most of:
- Experience in implementation CI/CD workflows
- Technical background in embedded software development
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, CMake, ElasticSearch, FluxDB
- Knowledge about Microsoft Azure cloud platform is a plus
