Join our team at Sonova Communications, a leader in premium audio technology, where innovation meets excellence. As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Project Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes for cutting-edge products, including electroacoustic transducers and audiophile headphones.


🚀 Your Mission

As NPI Project Leader, you’ll lead cross-functional manufacturing projects from concept to production, ensuring seamless product launches within Sonova’s internal production network. Collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations Centers, your goal is to build efficient, high-quality manufacturing solutions for tomorrow's products.


🔧 What You’ll Do

  • Define manufacturing concepts and strategies for new products
  • Coordinate NPI projects from planning to execution
  • Ensure project timelines, quality standards, risk management, and budget control
  • Work closely with R&D to support “Design for Manufacturing”
  • Design high-performance manufacturing processes (manual & automated)
  • Define requirements and select equipment (internal & external sourcing)
  • Collaborate with testing teams on test strategy and implementation
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects

🧠 Your Profile

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Systems or similar
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or engineering project roles
  • At least 2-3 years experience as a project leader
  • Fluent English (German and French are a plus)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP, and ideally Labview

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Master’s degree in Automation
  • Training in project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, Prince2)
  • Background in electroacoustics or continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma)
