Audiologist/Clinical Coach - Wellington

Help shape the next generation of hearing care professionals at Triton Hearing

Are you a highly experienced Audiologist who is passionate about developing others and driving clinical excellence? Do you thrive on coaching, mentoring and helping clinicians reach their full potential? Are you looking for a new challenge?

Triton Hearing is looking for a Clinical Coach to partner with our Regional Leadership teams and play a key role in building clinical, commercial and product capability across our network.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your passion for learning and development, while maintaining your own clinical practice and credibility in the field. You ideally will be based in Wellington, so you can service the lower North island up to Taranaki region and Bay of Plenty. 

About the Role

As part of the Triton Hearing Clinical Excellence Team, you will dedicate 24 hours per week (3 days) to driving clinical capability, professional standards, and commercial performance across Triton Hearing. You'll work closely with Regional Leaders, Clinic Managers and clinicians to deliver coaching, education and development initiatives that improve performance, enhance customer outcomes and strengthen clinical excellence across the region.

For the remainder of the week, you will continue working in a clinical capacity, maintaining hands-on client care alongside your leadership responsibilities.

 

You'll be a trusted advisor and mentor, helping clinicians build confidence, capability and commercial acumen while also supporting the ongoing development of provisional Audiologists and Audiometrists.

This is a field-based role with regular travel across your region, providing hands-on coaching and support where it's needed most.

 

What You'll Be Doing

Coach and Develop Clinicians

  • Deliver one-on-one coaching, observation and development support
  • Identify capability gaps and create targeted development plans
  • Facilitate workshops, virtual learning sessions and on-the-job training
  • Support clinicians to enhance clinical, commercial and product performance
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability and high performance

Support New Team Members

  • Partner with leaders to deliver outstanding onboarding experiences
  • Help ensure consistent induction and training across the region
  • Support new clinicians to build confidence and capability quickly

Lead Clinical Capability Development

  • Deliver product education and coaching on emerging hearing technologies
  • Help clinicians strengthen assessment, recommendation, fitting and verification practices
  • Share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Mentor Future Hearing Care Professionals

  • Act as a supervisor or co-supervisor for provisional NZAS members on a case-by-case basis within workload capacity
  • Support clinicians preparing for OSCE examinations and NZAS membership
  • Guide supervisors and provisional clinicians through successful accreditation journeys

Stay Connected to Clinical Practice

  • Continue providing client-facing hearing healthcare services
  • Demonstrate best-practice clinical care and customer experience
  • Lead by example as a trusted clinical role model

 

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a respected clinician who combines deep technical expertise with exceptional coaching and relationship-building skills.

Essential

  • Full membership with the New Zealand Audiological Society (NZAS)
  • Significant experience within the private hearing healthcare sector
  • Proven success coaching and developing clinicians
  • Experience designing and delivering engaging learning programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation abilities
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the region, including occasional overnight stays
  • Strong organisational and planning skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience supervising provisional Audiologists or Audiometrists
  • Experience supporting OSCE preparation
  • Experience leading change or continuous improvement initiatives
