eCommerce Specialist

Purpose of Position

The ideal candidate must be fluent in English to support our eCommerce sales in North America (United States/Canada).  Under limited supervision you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day online store site operations working closely with other functional support areas in including IT, Marketing, Fulfillment, End User Support and 3rd party agencies. Proactively identify and resolve issues and risks to site performance. Ensure timely and competent research and resolution of site operations support issues. In addition, you will be responsible for managing the customer experience including design, content, information architecture, branding/marketing, site performance, functionality, and usability. You will ensure and continuously improve the overall user experience to increase and drive sales.

Job Requirements

Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive increases in web traffic/sessions, conversion rate(s), average order value and ultimately sales revenue with attention to appropriate profit contribution targets

  • Define, report, and interpret analytic results. Leverage analytical insights to drive effective decisions regarding site functionality enhancements and to optimize the site experience for increased sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

  • Work alongside other E-Commerce Specialist(s) to identify and expand sales opportunities within our brand store and 3rd party marketplaces accounts

  • Work with external Affiliate Marketing partners and associated tracking platforms (i.e, Rakuten, Partnerize)

  • Utilizing sales analytics and collaboration with marketing teams, develop and manage promotional calendars which drive sales growth within individual product categories

  • Interpret, create, and manage product/revenue forecasts on the Oracle Cloud platform to provide meaningful insights relating to product supply/demand and current market dynamics

  • Collaborate with retail key account management to ensure consistent sales strategy deployment across the organization

  • Manage the day-to-day site operations working with other cross-functional support areas including Operations, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, etc. Proactively identify and resolve issues and risks to site performance.

 

Essential Characteristics

  • 4-year degree in Business, Marketing or related area – Associates degree with relevant work experience may also be considered.

  • 2-4 years’ experience related to e-commerce, digital marketing, e-commerce consulting or similar related experience

  • Experience in Shopify, Shopify Plus or equivalent ecommerce platforms

  • Experience working with ERP systems (JD Edwards platform experience a plus)

  • Experience in Demand Planning & Inventory Management preferred (Oracle Cloud Platform experience a plus)

  • Strong knowledge of the ecommerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices and industry trends

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills – especially written communication

  • Detailed understanding of end-to-end eCommerce processes including website infrastructure, content management, product attribution and customer-facing functionality.

  • Demonstrated experience with website strategy, site functionality and end-user experience in a transactional environment

  • High degree of proficiency in MS office suite, especially Excel

  • Web Analytics (Google/Adobe Analytics) experience preferred

  • HTML/CSS skills a plus
