Senior Manager Operations Gross Margin and Performance

As our Operations Gross Margin & Performance Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in driving profitability and operational excellence across our global manufacturing network. Working at the intersection of Finance, Operations and IT, you will establish greater transparency into manufacturing performance, influence strategic decision-making, and help shape how we manage gross margin across our global operations. More about the role

 

  • Lead the global Operations gross margin framework, ensuring consistency, transparency and governance across all manufacturing sites and regions
  • Drive visibility of operational performance by analysing key cost drivers including productivity, labour, material, overheads and fixed cost absorption
  • Partner with Finance, Operations and IT teams to improve data quality, align financial systems and strengthen margin reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, challenge performance gaps and support cost optimisation initiatives with measurable financial impact
  • Develop and maintain global standards for margin reporting, variance analysis and performance governance
  • Translate complex operational and financial data into clear business insights that support strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting and long-term operational planning

 

More about you

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline, with 8-12+ years' experience in Operations Finance, manufacturing controlling or gross margin management within a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience partnering with Operations leaders to drive manufacturing performance, improve operational efficiency and deliver measurable profitability improvements.
  • Strong understanding of Operations, including manufacturing processes, standard costing, productivity, labour, material and overhead cost drivers, with the ability to translate operational performance into financial outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience using Excel, financial modelling and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to support Operations performance management.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Operations, Finance and Supply Chain, building strong cross-functional partnerships to drive change.
  • A proactive, results-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and a track record of delivering operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP
  • Fluent in English, with Spanish language skills considered an advantage.
  • MedTech or healthcare manufacturing experience would also be an advantage
