Software Development Engineer - Mobile (Flutter)

As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and evolving our mobile application platform for Sennheiser consumer audio products.

Working in a small, agile development team, you'll build modern Flutter applications that enable seamless interaction with our premium audio devices. You'll collaborate closely with colleagues across Embedded Software, Cloud Engineering, QA, and System Engineering, while also working with international development partners to deliver high-quality, scalable mobile solutions.

More about the role

 

  • Design, develop and continuously enhance our cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter.
  • Collaborate with international development partners and integrate externally developed software into our mobile platform.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Embedded Software, Cloud Engineering, QA and System Engineering to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions.
  • Act as an interface in project teams and taking ownership of feature development and translating project requirements into mobile application features.
  • Contribute to an agile development environment by actively participating in Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

More about you

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing cross-platform applications with Flutter.
  • Experience with Git and modern software development practices; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Android (Kotlin, Java) and/or iOS (Swift) development is considered a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with distributed or external development partners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across international teams.
  • Professional working proficiency in English. German is an advantage but not required.
