Software Developer

 

Join Sonova's Manufacturing Software team and help develop the sophisticated solutions that power our production while enabling data-driven decisions for complex manufacturing challenges.

 

As a Junior Software Developer, you will build your skills by developing reliable, data-oriented software solutions while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative global environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support software solutions for production and data analysis
• Assist in ensuring the availability and performance of critical applications
• Contribute to the design and implementation of modern software solutions using current technologies
• Develop reliable, maintainable software that follows Sonova's coding standards and established software architecture
• Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with internal SOPs and applicable external requirements
• Learn from experienced team members while contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

 

More about you

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Up to two years of professional software development experience (internships and university projects are welcome)
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, relational databases, and software development fundamentals
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, microservices, or event-driven architectures is a plus
• Basic understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design
• Familiarity with modern development tools such as Git, Docker, CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience with C#, Databricks, AI or machine learning, or data visualization tools such as Apache Superset is a plus
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical skills
• Structured, quality-focused, and proactive approach to work
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

This role’s pay range is between $90K and $110K CAD.
