We're seeking a Senior Communications Specialist who understands that the best communications moves people and builds connection. If you'd like to bring your strategic thinking and storytelling skills to a leading hearing healthcare company, we'd enjoy talking with you. Based in North Sydney.
The Senior Communications Specialist leads and evolves strategic communication initiatives that engage, inform and drive action across our internal and external audiences. You'll oversee the delivery, optimisation and governance of corporate communications, ensuring messaging remains aligned, effective and impactful. An experienced communicator and content strategist, you'll strengthen corporate and personal brands, maintain communication frameworks and support key business objectives.
This is a North Sydney based, part-time opportunity (30 hours/week), offered as a 13-month fixed-term contract.
You can choose how you work:
- 4 full days (Monday to Thursday), or
- 5 shorter days (Monday to Friday)
You'll also be required to work from the office at least 3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs). During your first few weeks, you'll be based in the office full time to get to know the business and the team.

What will you be doing?
As a Senior Communications Specialist, you'll lead strategic communication initiatives that strengthen our brands, inspire action, and drive engagement across the organisation. You'll work collaboratively with leadership and teams to create compelling content, manage our communication channels, and ensure consistent, impactful messaging. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the ongoing delivery, review and continuous improvement of the internal communications and calendar to support business objectives and employee engagement
- Maintain a consistent communications approach across our brands, delivering structure and content creation for all assets.
- Planning, creating and optimising internal communications including newsletters, announcements and leadership messaging
- Maintaining and enhancing corporate intranet content
- Supporting strategic content creation externally across traditional and non-traditional channels for broader business objectives
- Leading the communication strategies and copywriting for all business acquisitions to support successful business integration, maintain maximum productivity and drive client retention
- Supporting leadership with strategic communication during key business initiatives and announcements
- Strengthening and maintaining a positive public profile for our brands, Managing Director (MD), and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
- Collaborating with APAC and global communications teams to ensure brand alignment and messaging consistency
- Continuously monitoring and improving communication effectiveness and engagement
- Planning, organising and coordinating internal and external events that bring our organisation together and strengthen relationships
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, content creation and brand management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write for diverse audiences and channels
- Proven skills in developing and executing communication strategies aligned to business objectives
- Proficiency with content management systems, email platforms and design tools (Unily, Canva, Hootsuite)
- Creative thinking with excellent storytelling and visual design sensibility
- Strong project management and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience measuring communication effectiveness and using insights to improve strategy
- Collaborative mindset with ability to build relationships and influence across all levels
- Strategic thinking with focus on business impact and employee engagement
- Proactive approach to identifying communication opportunities and solving challenges
- Experience in event planning and coordination
