Regional Talent Partner (Director) APAC

The Regional Talent Partner (Director) APAC (excluding China) is a strategic role responsible for driving the design and execution of talent and organisational development initiatives across the region. Reporting solidly to Senior Director HR APAC and with a dotted reporting line to the VP Talent & OD, this role ensures alignment of regional talent strategies with both business priorities and global Talent & OD frameworks.

 

The Regional Talent Partner collaborates closely with business leaders, HR BPs, and Centres of Excellence (CoE) to build leadership capability, enhance organisational effectiveness, and support workforce planning tailored to the unique dynamics of the region. By acting as a trusted advisor and change agent, this role plays a critical role in embedding a culture of continuous development and high performance that accelerates business growth and operational excellence.

 

In this role, you will be in charge of:

 

Regional Talent Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement talent and organisational development strategies aligned with regional business priorities and global Talent & OD frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Business Lead and MDs to identify critical talent needs and capability gaps within the region.

Leadership Development & Capability Building

  • Design and deliver leadership development programmes tailored to the regional context, fostering a pipeline of high-potential leaders.
  • Partner with CoEs to adapt and localise leadership and talent development initiatives.

Organisational Effectiveness & Change Management

  • Support organisational design and change initiatives within the region to enhance agility, performance, and employee engagement.
  • Act as a change agent, facilitating the adoption of new ways of working and cultural transformation aligned with Sonova’s values.

Workforce Planning & Talent Review

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and business leaders to conduct workforce planning and talent reviews, ensuring readiness to meet current and future business demands.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on regional talent analytics and market trends.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships with regional business leaders, HR teams, and global Talent & OD Centres of Excellence to ensure alignment and effective delivery of talent initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Regional Business Lead and VP Talent & OD on talent and organisational development matters.

Talent Programmes & Initiatives

  • Lead the regional execution of key talent programmes, including succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement based on feedback and data.

Reporting & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with global Talent & OD policies and governance standards within the region.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on regional talent and organisational development activities to senior leadership.

 

Your background:

 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organisational development, or HR business partnering, with significant exposure to regional leadership roles in matrixed, multi-country environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and align talent and organisational development strategies with regional business priorities, particularly within sales-driven or commercial organisations.
  • Experience designing and delivering leadership development and capability-building programmes tailored to diverse regional contexts.
  • Proven track record supporting organisational design, change initiatives, and cultural transformation to enhance agility and performance.
  • Skilled in workforce planning, talent review processes, and leveraging talent analytics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across business leaders, HR teams, and global Centres of Excellence.
  • Understanding of regional market dynamics, talent trends, and cultural nuances of the APAC region (excluding China).
  • Comfortable using HRIS systems (SuccessFactors), talent management platforms, and data analytics tools to support talent strategies and reporting.
