Senior Industrial Engineer

The Senior Industrial Engineer actively contributes to manufacturing process design, hands-on ERP manufacturing-data accuracy, and QMS-compliant process documentation for hearing aid and related medical-device operations. The role supports the translation of product and process requirements into accurate BOMs, robust routings, controlled process documents, standards, capacity models, and improvement actions that enable efficient, compliant, and scalable manufacturing of miniaturized precision devices.

More about the role

ERP & Manufacturing Data

  • Maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, work-center data, and standard cycle times in the ERP system, with appropriate version control.
  • Validate manufacturing master data to support product costing, capacity planning, production scheduling, and change implementation.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and coordinate timely corrections with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Engineering.

Process Optimization & Productivity

  • Plan and conduct time studies, method studies, line balancing, workstation analysis, and capacity assessments.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement measurable improvements in cycle time, labor productivity, throughput, yield, and scrap.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools and sustain gains through standard work and visual controls.
  • Develop and maintain layout, staffing, equipment-capacity, and production-ramp models.

Engineering Change & Qualification

  • Support ECO implementation, actively contributing to impact assessment, ERP updates, documentation, training, and effective-date control.
  • Support qualification of alternate-source components, materials, equipment, tooling, and processes.
  • Work with R&D, NPI, Value Engineering, Quality, and Operations on DFM/A reviews, process readiness, and design transfer.

QMS Compliant Process Documentations

  • Develop, maintain, revise, and control QMS-compliant process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Process FMEAs, control plans, work instructions, manufacturing process specifications, IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports, and investigation records.
  • Ensure process documents are accurate, current, approved, traceable, and aligned with manufacturing practice; maintain objective evidence and document history to support audits and inspections.
  • Provide hands-on support for document creation, revision, review, training implementation, and effective-date control in compliance with the QMS, ISO 13485, and applicable medical-device regulations.

Cross-Functional Execution

  • Support improvement projects from problem definition through implementation, verification, and handover.
  • Support teams in applying industrial-engineering methods and standard work.
  • Actively contribute to concise, data-based reporting of status, risks, decisions, and benefits.

More about you

  • Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering experience. Experience in electronics manufacturing will be beneficial.
  • Hands-on ERP experience with direct responsibility for BOM creation and maintenance, manufacturing routings, work centers, and cycle-time data.
  • Practical experience in time study, line balancing, capacity analysis, standard work, layout improvement, and productivity projects.
  • Hands-on experience supporting engineering changes, maintaining controlled process documentation, and contributing to component or process qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of Process FMEA, process validation, root-cause analysis, and statistical problem solving.
  • Strong analytical, project-management, stakeholder-management, and English communication skills.
