Electronic Engineer Power Management
Research & Development delivers hearing solutions and services for people with hearing loss, hearing care professionals, and further related people, in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications, and PC software.
Developing and testing power management circuits and battery cells is your passion. Your experience in power system infrastructure will build further on our success. Embedded in an international R&D team, you will support product creation by ensuring optimal use of power sources in hearing instruments and their accessories. You will use state-of-the-art technologies to develop the best-in-class products.
Your tasks
- Electrical measurement and characterization of power management systems: Specify, verify, and integrate power management circuits with non-rechargeable and rechargeable battery cells
- Battery cells and hearing instrument modelling: Create and validate electrical models for load, power consumption and battery cell performance prediction
- Define battery management system algorithms and provide guidelines for hardware and firmware design to ensure correct use of power management circuit and optimize power consumption
- Contribute to debugging power management systems and ensure continuous platform improvement
- Follow technology trends on power management systems, their characterization and integration
Your profile
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field
- Experienced in power management for low power embedded devices
- Experience with non-rechargeable and rechargeable battery cells
- Proactively bring game-changing ideas into the product roadmap
- Skilled in programming (e.g. MATLAB, Python, etc.)
- Flair for debugging and experience with data analysis
- Structured and quality-conscious working style with willingness to work in a distributed, diverse collaboration environment
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
