Mechanical Testing Lab Technician

Contract type: Temporary (3 months)
Location: Stäfa, Switzerland
 
As a Mechanical Testing Lab Technician, you will support mechanical and material testing activities, focusing on standardized test execution, data generation, and the development of automated testing solutions using the Labor Universal Prüfsystem (LUP).
 
Your Responsibilities
 
  • Perform supervised mechanical tests and pre-verification activities, including:
    • Sample preparation
    • Test execution
    • Documentation of results
  • Generate, evaluate, and document reliable test data and datasets
  • Support the development and implementation of LUP programs for mechanical cyclic testing
  • Assist in improving test setups, instructions, and automation processes to increase reproducibility and efficiency
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to laboratory standards and processes
 
Required Qualifications
 
  • Completed vocational training as an Automatiker EFZ or an equivalent technical qualification
  • Basic experience working with mechanical or technical systems
  • Basic understanding of mechanical testing principles
  • Careful, reliable, and structured way of working
  • Hands-on mentality and willingness to learn
  • Good English or German communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office 365
