Senior Project Manager (m/f/d)

 

Lead the development of innovative hearing solutions from concept to market

 

At Sonova, we develop innovative hearing care solutions that improve the quality of life for millions of people worldwide.

 

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, multidisciplinary R&D projects across hearing devices, software applications and related accessories. Working at the intersection of engineering, embedded software and product innovation, you will drive projects from concept through successful product delivery, ensuring alignment on scope, quality, timelines and budget while helping bring the next generation of hearing solutions to market.

 

 

More about the role

 

  • Lead multidisciplinary R&D project teams, driving the successful development and delivery of innovative hearing devices, software applications and accessories.
  • Own project scope, timelines, budget, resources and risks, ensuring successful delivery through effective planning, governance and stage-gate execution.
  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, software development and other business functions, managing stakeholders, cross-project dependencies and key project decisions.
  • Prepare and present project updates to steering committees, ensuring transparency, effective governance and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and documentation in line with Sonova's project management standards and portfolio management processes.
  • Drive technology assessments, reliability planning and project readiness while supporting innovation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess and proactively manage project risks, constraints and dependencies to enable successful project outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on quality, innovation and continuous improvement.

 

 

More about you

 


Must have

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering or product development, ideally within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading complex, multidisciplinary product development projects from concept to delivery.
  • Strong project management expertise, including planning, stakeholder management, risk management, budgeting and project governance.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, navigate complexity and drive informed decision-making in a global environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Fluent English skills.

 

 

Nice to have

 

  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • Experience within the hearing care or medical device industry.
  • Experience with Planisware, Jira, Confluence or SAP.
