Data Scientist

Data and AI are increasingly central to Sonova's ability to deliver better outcomes for customers and improve operational efficiency. The Data Scientist drives this agenda by turning complex, diverse datasets into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across Operations and Customer Experience (CX).

Building on Sonova's global strategy, this role designs, develops, and deploys advanced data science and machine learning solutions and increasingly generative AI and agentic workflows in close collaboration with global data and digital teams, IT, and business stakeholders across Operations. Solutions are built to be secure, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.

 

More about the role :

 

  • Conceptualize, develop, deploy and drive adoption of data science, ML and GenAI solutions that deliver measurable business impact across Operations and CX
  • Apply statistical and ML methods to analyze diverse datasets, including data exploration and feature engineering, to derive insights that inform business decisions
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate quantitative findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate effectively with analysts, engineers and platform teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Design and implement AI-augmented development workflows using agentic coding tools and LLM-based code generation; establish best practices for reviewing and validating AI-generated output
  • Articulate hypotheses, design and execute experiments and A/B tests, and evaluate and optimize algorithms
  • Develop monitoring KPIs to track the performance of solutions and models
  • Define standards and processes for efficient data science development and drive continuous improvement

 

More about you :

 

  • 5+ years of experience applying data science, machine learning, and predictive analytics techniques to solve business problems.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end data science projects from data preparation and feature engineering through deployment and monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and model evaluation techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data science toolsets, including Databricks and PySpark.
  • Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices, model governance, cloud platforms, and production deployment of analytical solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into business insights.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative development practices.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English
