Requirements Engineer

 

At Sonova, we develop innovative hearing solutions that improve the quality of life for millions of people around the world. To help us create products that are both impactful and reliable, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and collaborating across diverse teams.

 

In this role, you will act as a key link between engineering, quality, verification, and business stakeholders, ensuring that product requirements are clearly defined, understood, and translated into successful solutions.

  • Define, analyze, and maintain product requirements for innovative hearing solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on product features, functionality, and expectations
  • Create and maintain clear, structured, and testable requirements and specifications
  • Ensure requirements comply with internal processes, quality standards, and applicable regulations
  • Maintain traceability between user needs, product requirements, test cases, and risks
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of requirements engineering practices, processes, and tools
  • Participate in project development teams and support the successful delivery of new product features

 

More about you

 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical education
  • Further education or training in Requirements Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in product development, ideally in a Requirements Engineering or similar role
  • Experience defining, documenting, and managing requirements throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Understanding of hardware and/or software development processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring collaboration within cross-functional teams
  • Adaptable, collaborative, proactive, and a strong team player
  • Fluent English skills, both written and spoken

 

Nice to have

 

  • IREB Foundation Level, INCOSE, or similar certification
  • Experience in regulated industries and/or medical device development
  • Familiarity with tools such as Polarion, Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams
  • German language skills
